Our Vision
We strongly believe that music can be an amazing bridge between people, transcending all kinds of prejudices. When music pours freely from the heart, people are united in it's flow. It's a vehicle of incredible potential for healing and positive transformation.
Our Mission
Music Works for Peace is a not-for-profit music and performing arts organization dedicated to bringing the transformative power of music to a truly diverse audience of all ages.
MWP supports and encourages musicians from all over the world and collaborates with schools, universities, cultural organizations, and other presenting organizations that have similar goals. MWP:
- Encourages cultural exchange between nations and ethnic groups
- Supports traditional music by providing opportunities for visiting and for local artists
- Presents to the American public the finest in traditional and contemporary music and dance from around the world
- Collaborates with community organizations and academic institutions
in fostering greater understanding of the world's music and dance
traditions.
